| Project Purpose: |
To design and fabricate a rubbish and floating debris boom that can withstand the flow rate of the industrial canal in question. The old malfunctioning boom (bottom image) was also removed and the new Assise boom (middle image) installed.

| Project Summary : |
- Canals running alongside industrial areas can contain a large volume of contaminants that should be blocked and managed.
- These canals can generate significant amount of water flow and hence ill designed and fabricated booms will not withstand the forces and malfunction.
- An Assise boom was successfully designed, manufactured and installed to meet the requirements of both the floating debris and the canal flow rate (top image).
